CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A former Charleston investment adviser admitted in federal court Wednesday that he embezzled $600,000 from a 401(k) plan under his supervision.

The Department of Labor has asked the federal court in Pittsburgh to order two trustees of a North Side printing company’s 401(k) plan to turn over documents pertaining to a federal investigation into the handling of the retirement plan, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday.
